Great for making your own bathroom deodorizer
Great for making my own bathroom and toilet spray/deodorizer. Mix rubbing alcohol with a teaspoon of this with 10-15 drops of your favorite essential oil (I prefer lemon) in a 6-8 oz spray bottle and enjoy a pleasant scent.

Not Calsolene oil, but basically the same!
I use this as an additive to my chem water for fiber reactive tie dyeing. If you’re trying to figure out an alternative to calsolene oil because you can’t justify paying the big shipping cost from Dharma, this works just fine. :)

4/5 Stars - Good Product, But Disappointing Packaging Change
I've used Velona Castor Oil for a while, and the quality of the oil is excellent. The Turkey Red variety is my favorite, and it's effective for hair growth, skin issues, and inflammation. However, I'm disappointed with the packaging change. I made the purchase of a 32oz bottle expecting it to arrive in a sturdy, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) container, as pictured in the listing. Now, it comes in a thinner, lighter polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle. This change is a downgrade for me.The PET bottle is prone to flexing and bending, making it harder to pour without spilling. It's also more prone to scratches and scuffs, which can compromise the packaging. But my biggest concern is that PET bottles can leach chemicals into the oil, which can then be absorbed through the skin or ingested, potentially causing harm. PET bottles also release microplastics, which can contaminate the oil and ultimately end up in our bodies.I hope Velona will reconsider their packaging decision and go back to using the safer and more durable HDPE bottles. If you look carefully it is a notable change.Pros:High-quality castor oilEffective for hair growth, skin issues, and inflammationGood value for the priceCons:New PET bottle is less durable and prone to scratches and spillsDowngrade from the previous HDPE bottlePET bottle can leach chemicals and release microplastics, potentially harming the bodyRecommendation:If you're looking for a good castor oil, Velona's Turkey Red is still a good choice. However, be aware of the packaging change and consider whether it's a deal-breaker for you. If you prioritize customer health and safety, you may want to explore other options. The larger 64oz bottle (or other brands) possibly come in HDPE bottles.

Ok not for certain skin types
I have used other castor oil but this one brand broke my skin out. Not sure if it's the brand or the way it's manufactured. Be careful in purchasing if you have sensitive skin.

Not water soluble - like superglue!
I thought this would be a nice after bath moisturizer. It made my pajamas stick to me as if glued. A very uncomfortable sensation. Also I tried to use it to remove makeup - burned my eyes so bad!!!
