An excellent inexpensive microcontroller
An excellent, very powerful, microcontroller ideal for many projects. Will work readily with the Arduinp IDE or MicroPython (Thonny). A very useful feature is that the IO pins can be programmed individually at low level to support numerous protocols.

Good little board
I bought this to go with an expander board. This little board works just fine. It came on time and the headers where already soldered.

Very cost effective and versatile development board.
For what they cost the Pico are great little development boards with a plethora of possible applications. They are quite easy to burn out if sufficient care is not taken with earthing connections when supplying power and/or signal from the Pico. It's definitely worth paying attention to the current draw of any such uses too.

headers allow breadboarding
Pico microcontroller from Raspberry pi. significantly cheaper than an Arduino and programmable from the ArduinoIDE. pre soldered headers. means you can plug directly into a breadboard,cutting down on messy leads. good bit of kit.

What you need if you can't solder
This is a Pico, with all the header soldering hard work done for you. If your soldering is a bit dicey, like mine, then it's a life saver & well worth it. It was neatly done & everything was straight & true, so not much else I can say really.
