This is top quality, as good as Ronseal Diamond Hard and even easier to use.Touch dry in 20 minutes means you can paint a floor in a house full of family without any accidents - you can walk on it after 20 minutes! (obviously light foot traffic until fully dry.)2 hours between coats, job done in about 4 hours from start to finish.Fantastic. I'll buy this brand in future.

Very good floor varnish, dries quick are hard wearing

From my experience I can only compare with ronseal diamondhard floor varnish which I have also used. I would say in comparison, the rustins one has more of a gloss and more coverage. And no doubt feels harder wearing. If you’re after more of a gloss this is the one to go for but bear in mind can be quite slippery due to its glossiness, the ronseal one was more of a matt finish which is quite nice but feels a lot more flimsy, no doubt will need more coats later down the line.

I did the stairs with it and I must say - it’s great. You need to stir it properly, otherwise you’ll get a shiny and super slippery surface. It is a little bit slippery, but manageable. I put it on the Dulux woodsheen, no issues. Doesn’t smell at all, dries quickly. Amazing. I’m attaching photos before and after 2 coats. One more to do.

Very happy with the results after using Rustins 5l gloss floor varnish on our sanded bedroom floor. It’s easy to clean off the brushes, gives off a lot less odour whilst applying than other brands and provides a lovely smooth and glossy finish. Would highly recommend.

I used this product after resanding a wood floor in a kitchen that had seen better days.The owner of the property could not believe the final result and was very happy, a few months later I called back to check on the job and it still looked like the day the varnish was applied.The product was very easy to apply but make sure you prep well removing all debree from the floor otherwise this will let down your hard work, it levels very well with hardley any odor when drying. I applied 2 coats and it gave a fantastic satin finish.All in all a very nice product and will be using it again for any future wood floor projects, thank you Rustins ;-)

Great stuff! Better than expected to finish off my newly stripped stairs. I didn’t want the plastic feeling of varnish on top of my wood so was worried a bit. Put 3 layers on as per instructions. No sanding between layers, goes on evenly, easy to put on, can wash brushes in water and dries super quick to an even finish. I got satin and it looks amazing. Barely used a fifth of a tin!

I ordered this tin of 2.5 Rustin Floor varnish in May 2023. When it arrived it was packed poorly and split open during delivery arriving spilt in the container, box and poorly wrapped plastic.I ordered a replacement which came in the same condition. It’s packed very bad, not sealed properly and in a box that is insufficiently secured. I spoke to customer service who told me to dispose of them, and I will get a refund. Of which I did and obtained the varnish elsewhere. Without that I really wouldn’t know how to return such a product in such bad condition spilling everywhere!Two months later they deducted the money from my bank for the item that wasn’t returned. After they already told me to dispose of it. I’m fuming mad because the damage caused to my floor, which wasn’t the room to be varnished, is estimated to be great.I would not recommend anyone but any tins of anything from Amazon because of their poor packaging. It might just be for this item, but they really need to take a good look at themselves and how they carry out their packaging and improve.For that reason, I don’t recommend it, but the product itself, purchased elsewhere, is good. Depending on the amount of coats will give the desired look or high gloss. I only coated once because I didn’t want to slip and slide everywhere, especially with my bad back. It looks satin and just what I needed.It’s my opinion that this should not be brought here but from your local DIY shop.
