Pleased so far, worth the price
I have a small bunion that I noticed starting last year or so. Not very painful yet, but definitely starting to cause problems.I decided to try this solely because it is Dr Scholls, because I trust the brand enough to spend $15-20.These are very comfortable, much more so than the photo looks. The instructions are quite easy to understand, and the splint itself is easy to figure out. Very easy to adjust to fit. They seem very sturdy and well made, and I would be very surprised if they fall apart soon. The quality of the materials is very good, and they are very well made. No scratchy stitching or labels, and definitely no jagged velcro.I can feel the ligaments stretching when wearing it, and the information guide does explain that it can be uncomfortable at first because of this gentle stretching. For this reason it advises to start with 30 min at a time and work up to no more than 8 hours. For me, I can tolerate this “stretching feeling” for about an hour here at the beginning. Not sure it can reverse anything already happening, but definitely seems like it can keep things from getting worse at the very least.

Not bad
Noticeable change in position of the toe following use with no pain or discomfort. However the results are temporary not reparative.

First Night
It’s supposed to be 30 minutes and then work up to all night. First night, first 30 minutes and it hurts but in a good way. Like I love this pain! I know it’s messed up. But I had bunion surgery on my left foot over two years ago because I was walking on bone. And now my right foot is getting constant blisters and even BLOOD BLISTERS with just trying to walk more for my health. Walking is super important!Anyways this hurts but it’s a good hurt. It’s like how I wanted my foot to move and it hurts anyway. I say it’s worth the pain as of this moment.Everybody complaining about it needs to know that you are supposed to start with 30 minutes a night and then work your way up to a whole night while you sleep.Hopefully I can remember to come back and leave more feedback.

Just ok
Good in theory, but they do not stay in place so unless you can keep your feet totally stationary they don't work.

WORTHY PURCHASE!!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Oh my God, these are amazing. I wish I had found them sooner. This is definitely going to be some of the best $15 I’ve spent. And they were covered by my FSA!! My big toes have been causing me SO much pain it’s affecting my sleep. I work in healthcare in a massive hospital and I do the LONG shifts. Man my feet and legs hurt at the end of the day. These are going to be a life saver. I got so much relief when I put them on I was knocked out. Worthy purchase alert!!

Worrisome packaging and didn't work
The media could not be loaded. I haven’t tried them yet, but this is how the box came. I looked like the box was opened, lazily put back together, and returned. The splints inside looked fine though, they didn’t look used or had a weird smell/ stains. I’ve used splints before, so I’m pretty sure this one will be fine. The splint seems to be one size fits all, and the straps are adjustable. There is also some gel padding bc where the big toe joint is supposed to go. The packaging made me a little worried, however.Update: 5-6 days laterSo I’ve been using them for about a week and I do not like them at all. They actually made my bunions worse and now they are in pain. The bunion correctors become very uncomfortable and painful after only 2 hours of wear, and I had to take them off because it was unbearable. The pain was so bad that I woke up out of my sleep 2X to take them off. I tried to adjust how I was wearing them because I thought that may have been the reason for the extreme pain, but I cannot do it anymore. In the short time that I have been wearing these correctors, the bunions have grown, so now I will be booking a doctors appointment to see a podiatrist.
