Superb for renovation projects
I've used this on numerous refurbishments of old houses, particularly if the concrete is old. If laod correctly is creates an impermeable layer that's damp proof, with no addotional floor height gain. Sprinkle sand on the last coat if you're putting something else on top, such as tiles. Easy to use, just a roller, smells so remove pets etc and dries quickly. The floor must be dry though as any wet spots will bubble and not fully adhere. Don't over lay either, such as larger dimples on the concrere, as again the properties could be affected. Certainly cheaper than a new screed, saves time amd money and just has effective.

Solved my rising damp issue
Fantastic product. Water was moving through my concrete slab that my new office was built on. Have applied 3coats to the floor and this has solved the problem completely. If you are using a roller, top tip between coats was to store the roller head in an air tight bag like a zip lock bag. The roller then ment you didn't have to wash out between coats and it stayed moist enough to use again in a couple of hours. Was solvent free so hasn't caused massive headache while trying to apply.

Good product, but can't open container after one use
The media could not be loaded. Good product in a not fit for purpose container. The liquid itself seems to work very well, but having used about 1/10th of the liquid I now cannot remove the lid. Very poor container design from Silka given it is a liquid that sets hard, it just completely gums up the childproof closure, pressing down to turn simply collapses the top of the flimsy blow moulded container, and the handle is so close to the lid it is pretty much impossible to get a good grip around the lid to turn it. Calling the Silka's UK "tech help line" they effectively said I'm the only person to have the issue, so, perhaps I'm just really unlucky.Problem is, it is moisture curing, so I now need to find an empty totally airtight 5 litre container with a half decent closure on it. What a waste of time You would think that a liquid that costs this much might warrant putting in a quality container, apparently Silka's customers have to provide their own!

Be aware if you are levelling over the top of this
Great product, pretty easy to use if you have a smooth surface to start with, if you don't you might want a brush handy to apply into the dips you have. Both my roller and brush had to be chucked afterwards.Reason for one less star, what I didn't see on the info for this product is, if you're going to latex over the top of it, you will need to throw some kiln dried sand over the last coat before it dries. Luckily I managed to get a bag locally but at the moment Sand is hard to get hold of

Not certain that my screed subfloor was waterproof
Used two coats of sika to waterproof the screed subfloor in my 11x12’ back room applied by squeegee (easy) to give a perfect waterproof seal under the interlocking vinyl/wood flooring

Great Stuff
The actual product in the container is superb, however the container itself is a real bugger. It arrived with the anti-child top unfortunately stuck tight to the container, due to a poor design. A slight amount of the internal liquid had jammed the two half's of the top. Thank goodness i had vice grips. This was the same on both of the two units purchased, so it wasn't a one off.

Amazing product
Wonderful product, proofed my concrete on ground floor, perfect :) But packaging is disgrace... So after I used it and closed it, I couldn't open it again. So I had to cut container and pour into another one with normal lid. Very disappointed as I am not sure if I can store in different container.

fingers crossed.
An excellent product, hopefully this will now cure our damp penetration of our large lounge floor. Small tip make sure you have enough brushes or rollers. the product will dry very hard on items used. you will need a new brush or roller for every new coat after the drying time. Having said that I am full of confidence this will work. P.S. make sure all residue is removed from the bottle screw top and inside cap .
