Replacing an old one... love this and stops the itch almost immediately

Bought as was going on holiday to a Greek island I knew had many mosquitos. Despite using deet and taking precautions still got bitten twice and this has worked perfectly. Pressed a 5 or so times on each bite gives itch relief for a good few hours. Far better than more expensive and often chemical based solutions.

Not having a suitable mosquito around to bite me, I tested this device on the back of my hand. Operating the device is very simple - apply and click. The manufacturer states "a slight tingling sensation will be felt with every impulse". Well I clicked but I wasn't tingled. Thinking it's me being thick skinned, I enlisted my wife as a second test subject - still no tingle.The manufacturer also states "It can be used as a mosquito repellent". Works great, ideal for holidays

The media could not be loaded. I am so pleased to have discovered this as the midges have been out for around a week and we have months of them ahead. Living in a rural part of Scotland we get lots of midges, my partner gets the occasional bite, but I get multiple bites every day, they seem to really enjoy biting me. I have tried various products over the years to relieve the intense itching from the bites, this though has to be the best as there are no chemicals involved plus it works almost straight away. I eagerly opened it on arrival as I had a bite that was extremely itchy, it was very easy to use, and after around 5 clicks the itch had subsided. You can barely feel it, it doesn’t hurt, in fact it is a really relieving feeling as the itch goes. It lasts up to 5000 bites, in Scotland that may be a season, it is light weight and easy to carry, I take it through to the bedroom at night as well as out with me.

My husband has used this a few times and it has definitely stopped the bite itching. Lasted a few hours before having to use it again.

This is very difficult to review without actually getting stung or bitten and trying it out. On this basis I am reviewing purely on price and convenience and assuming that as it appears to function that it does as it should and indeed be beneficial I shall revisit the review and change the rating accordingly when I persuade a mosquito to bite me.The clicker is really small so take care you don't lose it at the bottom of your bag or suitcase. On inspection it does, when pressing the button produce a the required spark across a couple of electrodes which are meant to help relieve the pain of a bite. Its not unlike a miniature piezo electric gas lighter in fact. Similar items are sold by well known high street stores so I'm happy to give this the benefit of any doubt until I have a bite to treat.
