Schwinn Fitness Elliptical Series

My previous elliptical was a bog standard rear-wheel York model, so it was a bit of a surprise when I realised just how much bigger this one was going to be as I built it. Thankfully it just about fits in where it needed to go.Seems very solid. Not silent due to the rumble of the rollers on the incline poles. Reasonably easy to put together although a couple of bits need a bit of effort, or are a tad fiddly.For some reason it was available for a fair bit less than half of RRP which made it a bit of a bargain - at that price it was worth adding on the 4 year warranty.At RRP it's up against Nordic Track which have proper screens and longer warranty as standard.I'm not sure the apps and Bluetooth connectivity add much to the mix, especially if you have an Apple, Fitbit, or Garmin watch. The electronically controlled gradient and resistance, along with the various programs is much more useful - allowing for a varied workout.

I put the machine together fairly straightforwardly. Once I tried it in earnest I noticed it kept going on to "workout paused" despite me using normally. I opened the front panel up and found that the small cylindrical magnetic sensor was too far from the magnet on the main wheel. It was glued in the wrong position so I moved it closer to the wheel, wiggling it to snap the glue. This has saved me from having to do a return.On the whole though it is compact and well made apart from some shoddy quality control on the electronics.

We brought this to replace our old treadmill and have to say what great value it is. A great way to have a workout with no impact on your joins, easy to put together.

Bought item less than three weeks ago and a roller has already broken, rendering the item useless.Two year guarantee is worthless, Schwinn say guarantee is honoured by Amazon, but Amazon have no access to spare parts and only offer partial refund (pointless) or full refund upon receipt of item (can take upto a month to get money back on your card), even though item is purchased through prime.Overall a disgrace and awful experience overall.Save yourself the stress, do not purchase this item.

Unable to use this piece of equipment. It was unstable despite being properly assembled and levelled. The Bluetooth also didn’t work at all. Amazon allowed a refund but I had to dismantle it and wrap in bubble wrap as per their advice. This was not an easy task at all. Wouldn’t buy again, looking for an alternative.

Sturdy easy to use elliptical trainer, have placed it on a high density non slip mat as it was on a concrete floor which has helped reduce the usage noise levels slightly.The LCD display panel serves its purpose but it is basic and could do with a backlight but most of the time I just watch something on the iPad which fits nicely on the tablet tray.Assembly was pretty straight forward, although some of the bolts needed a little encouragement to fit through the parts.The nuts, bolts, washers, etc were thoughtfully individually numbered and shrink wrapped on an a4 piece of card.

Easy to assemble however as pictured there is a welding flaw on the handle bar , simply hasn’t been completed correctly . The opposite side was fine . When assembled there is a knocking sound on the right hand side once per revolution. These flaws are not acceptable on a unit of this cost. . Amazon customer service was excellent arranging the return collection etc so I can’t fault them on this part . As for the quality control , clearly two main things have been overlooked

Hand sensors broke within the first 21 days.Roller noise from the machine was a turnoff and discouraged you from using it. Don't buy.If I hadn't bought from Amazon I would still be lumbered with it.
