upgraded from a clarke mig & this thing definitely did better than i expected, stevie wonder could lay dimes with this machine.

I’ve never welded before. I bought this so I could stop relying on friends to repair stuff for me. I’ve done 5-6 projects so far and I’m starting to get it figured out. For the price it was definitely worth buying.

Update! Just upgraded to the mig185 It has much better build quality. The gun is much higher quality and I don't have trouble finding the trigger anymore. The wire feed system is all metal, and it's ready for aluminum. I love how it does 12 volts. Just did some 20ga patching with it. This was done with flux core .3 wire!I've seen a yeswelder fall off 4ft table and survive!165ds Works great and easy to use! Wire feed is partly plastic, wand is not easily replaceable/low quality, and no aluminum welding.

YesWelder MIG-185DS PRO, is an excellent welder. I was in the market for a new welder and after using their automaticwelding helmet and Mig welding wire for the last couple of years I thought I would try the multi-process welder from them. I ran through a few test runs with flux core wire to try all the settings out and I was amazed at nice it handled altogether. It runs and operates better than a few other brands I have had, and I am glad I decide to give this a try. I will definitely buy another welder from them when I am ready to upgrade again.

Great welder for the price have not tried the stick welder yet. The mig takes a bit to get use to on the synergy mode but really great product .

I've owned at least 5 MIG welders over the years, including a VERY popular welder (color blue) machine made in Wisconsin. While I really like this machine, it is around 15 years old and lacks some of the newer features like all digital readouts and controls. Plus, I needed several additional machines as I'm going to be hosting a class on welding my shop for some high school and college kids (our local high schools don't offer ANY shop classes whatsoever). So I went looking for a welder I could afford and decided to try this All-in-One YESWELDER 185A DS Pro.During the initial setup I missed a step, or should I say I missed something that wasn't in the setup instructions. First, I got a second set of eyes, those of an equally experience welder, to go over the setup. No luck there either. So I contact YesWelder support and VOILA, a quick response and an easy to implement solution - just make sure ALL the connects are complete (a modification to the instruction manual would have prevented the issue in the first place!).One I had the initial set-up completed and did some test welds, I found this machine to be more than just adequate, its performance simply impressive. In the MIG (GMAW) mode, the machine delivers the wire very smoothly and adjustments were clear, easy to see and make adjustments. In the Stick (SMAW) mode setup was even simpler and the adjustments easy as well. Even the TIG (GTAW) mode, for which I have the least experience, was easy to use. ALL these capabilities produced good quality welds on various metals and thicknesses. Within it advertised performance parameters, the is a superb welder, more than adequate for the home hobbyist, student welder or artist welder. Frankly, its quality, performance, multi-function capability make this YesWelder 185DS Pro a great bargain! And their support is 2nd to NONE! FIVE STARS and an easy recommendation!
