I wasn’t sure if a regular desk lamp would work as a grow light, but I gave it a try—and it’s actually been great for my small indoor plants! They love it and are thriving! Perfect little hack if you're short on space or just getting started with houseplants.

I bought this lamp to use both as a lamp and also to improve the teleconference experience in a low-light environment. This lamp does a decent job of illuminating my face when placed directly behind my monitor. Don't get me wrong, it's not great as a ring light - you don't want to be recording YouTube videos with it, but it's enough to illuminate your face so you don't look like you live in a cave.As a lamp it works well. You can pick it up from anywhere and it's solid and not in danger of falling apart. While it's sturdy, it's also extremely lightweight. For me, when not using it as a ring light I have to bend it down so that the LEDs are below eyeball level. Otherwise it feels like the LEDs are trying to bore into my eye after a while. The 4 levels of brightness are a nice bonus.

I absolutely love this lamp! I can bend it just as I need it. Different brightness helps too!

My major complaint (but to be expected for this type of lamp): you cannot change the bulbs, hence the entire unit will have to be sent to e-waste.My minor complaint (more of a slight irritation than complaint): the on/off dot functions for 2 choices of warm or bright light as well as on or off, which means you have to touch it 3 times to shut it off. If you have already touched it 1 or 2 times for other choices and forget, and then touch it 3 times, you have to do it again.Suggestion for improvement:There should be a touch-on dot for just on/off (it should be bigger and different than the others), another for warmth of light, and keep the current 4 that let you quickly touch a preferred brightness. You might also want to give the dots different textures for when fumbling around in the dark or for those with vision problems.Otherwise I love the size, shape, ease of bending the neck, the fairly large circular lamp head with non-glare hole in the middle, the sturdy base, the overall white looks, and especially the kind of lights it gives off. Very good over a work or reading area, or on low warm is a nice gentle light. I've only had it about 4 months so I cannot yet speak for the longevity. I use it frequently every day on all different settings.

The power cord working consistently seems like an important thing.I have had trouble with the power cord since the beginning but I didn't think it was THAT big of a deal (it is) - it needs to be plugged in at juuuuust the right half-degree angle into the wall. Not straight in, but slightly tilted, about the depth of a paper clip. If it moves, anyone or anything touches the cord, the light turns off and I have to get up and go check on the plug, attempt to guess the angle, and go back and see if the red light is on...mind you, you can't leave it on while you go fix the plug, you have to go back to the lamp and check is the little red light and watching it be on and then slowly fade to black is incredibly irritating.The lamp itself works great but I hate it because it's just enough of a hassle to drive you crazy. Save your money - a replacement power cord is about $10, and that pushes the cost of this lamp up by $10.

I purchased this desk lamp for my son. The brightest setting is bright enough for him to use it as a reading light at night. However, what’s annoying is that you need to click through all the different brightness settings before you can turn the light off. I wish it comes with a on/off switch to make things easier.
